Harnessing Expertise, Collaboration, and Innovation for User-Centric Solutions
The Horizon design team boasts a comprehensive skill set that encompasses UX, UI, interaction design, and motion design, positioning them uniquely to handle both the functional and aesthetic aspects of product design seamlessly. This dual capability ensures products are not only functional but also engaging, adhering to Design Thinking and Lean Startup Principles. These principles emphasize user-centric design, ensuring products are easy to use, accessible, and engaging. The team's methodology involves a deep understanding of the technical and visual components, allowing for a holistic approach to product design that prioritizes the user's experience.
The design process at Horizon is client-inclusive and iterative, ensuring alignment on vision at every step. This collaboration extends from initial project onboarding through six stages: Discovery & Research, UX/UI Design, Development, and Maintenance. Utilising tools like Figma for design and Slack for communication, the process facilitates transparency and seamless integration across teams. Daily stand-ups and direct client interaction ensure ongoing alignment and adaptability to client needs. The team values iterative feedback loops and multi-level collaboration, including internal reviews and direct client-engagement, to refine the design process continually.
Horizon emphasizes a strong internal support system through the collective intelligence of the design team, led by the Design Team Lead and Creative Director. This system is bolstered by Sharing Sessions and Designers Meetings, promoting knowledge exchange and process refinement. Additionally, the integration of product managers and engineers throughout the design phase ensures that projects remain focused and technically feasible, with a special emphasis on the conceptual phase for creative exploration. This collaborative environment not only enhances the design process but also ensures that the team can adapt to new challenges and maintain forward momentum.
